On the types of Philosophical realism

Philosopher Stephen Barker says that
"...philosophers who are realist have argued that there is an external world in which physical objects exist whether they are experienced or not." Induction and Hypothesis, 7
This philosophy appeared, or was actually articulated, as a response to Berkeley's (+Kant +Hume) idealism.
